Our famous Cole Murray Cape Kidnappers Trail Run is back again for 2023 and with some exciting news! The event has been purchased by Total Sport, a well-known player in the outdoor, participation-based sporting events space.
They have been around since 2000 and own 21 events in total. Aaron Carter, the owner and founder, and his team have built an incredible business of predominantly trail/off-road run/walk events, and mountain-bike, along with a sprinkling of multi-sport and triathlon. Over the last 20+ years, the model is very clear, they are “passionate about getting like-minded people into nature – to challenge themselves, to participate in these events, and to connect with others (and themselves) along the way.”
Cole Murray is pumped about this new partnership as we know with Total Sport’s knowledge and expertise it will take the Cole Murray Cape Kidnappers Trail Run to the next level.
Not a great deal will be changing this year; the distances remain the same. 5km, 15km, 21km and 32km which participants can either walk or run. Likewise, with the amazing location starting near Hygge at Clifton Bay café, with the trail winding its way up through Cape Kidnappers on an amazing piece of land not normally accessible to the general public. But the little finishing touches that Total Sport bring to the table will make it that much more special.
We’re immensely proud to be putting our name behind this event for the 6th year. It enables us to support a local event that champions health and wellness.
