Our team of Financial Advisers and support staff at Cole Murray are proud to have been named finalists in the Hastings City Celebration Awards this month, in the Outstanding Professional Services category.
The awards largely celebrate Hastings City and the fantastic community we have here, but also acknowledge some of the quality businesses that operate in our region.
After a nudge from our team an entry was completed at the last minute, reveals Company Director and Financial Adviser Mike Murray. “We’re pretty humble around here so we don’t usually spend much time tooting our own horn. However, the team were keen to give it a go and we’re very happy to make the effort with that kind of encouragement!”

Cole Murray, as financial advisers, completed the entry based on it’s commitment to making a positive difference in local people’s financial lives.
In addition, the Company wanted to give back to the community, hence the recent commitment into our first major sponsorship.
Other accolades for Cole Murray include receiving the Insurance Advisernet Platinum Practice Award, the first in Hawkes Bay to achieve this new status, and from 2009 – 2017 the business was named Booster KiwiSaver Practice of the Year.
This year’s judges are Jacqui Mathews-Harris (Black Cat Education, Sally Jackson (Hawkes Bay A&P Society), Wayne Walford (Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce), Regan Cotter (EIT), Brandi Dixon (The Te Mata Mushroom Co.) and Head Judge Craig Riddiford (BWR). They bring with them a wealth of experience and perspective on what it takes to be a great business in Hastings.
